Andre de Dienes Marilyn Monroe 1952

Marilyn Monroe, Beautiful and Nude.

Posted on August 4, 2012

I always gasp with excitement when I find an image of Marilyn like none other I’ve seen before. This image was taken in 1952 by Andre de Dienes, a photographer who in his career managed to capture some truly remarkable images of Marilyn… I believe this to be ¬†one of the most natural, exquisite and vulnerable photographs I have seen of this incredible woman who has somehow managed to remain close to our hearts for decades after her passing.

That is a marvelous picture…stunning. Never seen this either..the mood of it is so raw..the way she’s shielding herself away from the birds, yet open and nude…amazing. Loved it!! xx
